meet Steve

Greetings friends, and thank you for visiting my campaign website.

My name is Steve and I am a candidate on the Republican ballot for City Council, At-Large, for the City of Wooster in the May 6, 2025 Primary. My decision to run was based on my passion for Wooster and vision for its continued success.

Originally, I moved to Wooster in 2010 to work for The Daily Record newspaper. But I quickly found that Wooster was more than a "job" and was a great place to live, work, and ultimately raise a family. I fell in love with the community for a variety of reasons, including the passion for service exemplified by every single individual I met during my tenure at the local paper.

I joined Wooster's City Council in 2024 to fulfill Bob Reynolds' seat once he was elected Mayor, where I currently serve as the chair of the Public Properties committee. My time at the newspaper, and my subsequent years working for local stalwarts in the business community, has helped give me the experience and perspective needed to guide Wooster forward in a fast-changing, and sometimes messy, world.

I am proud of the progress and economic growth our City has realized while as a member of the City Council.  However, I am not done, and I firmly believe that there is much more we can do together by improving the collaborative efforts between the City and the Wooster community and its various stakeholders in the public and private spheres.

Your vote for me will go a long way to position Wooster to meet the challenges of the 21st Century through the synergy of cooperative efforts with its wonderful citizens. I promise to hold firm on the traditions and values this community values, while ensuring Wooster does not fall behind in an ever-changing world.
